Dr. Manthey is originally from Bothell, Washington. From an early age she knew that her calling in life was in the field of veterinary medicine. Her journey to Lewiston Veterinary clinic first began at Seattle where she first acquired her associates’ science degree from Seattle Community College. She then transferred to the University of Washington and received her Bachelors of Science degree. Once finished, she went on to Washington State University where she studied veterinary medicine. Dr. Manthey is a member of the 2009 graduating class. Before veterinary school, Dr. Manthey worked as an assistant at Northgate Veterinary Hospital in Seattle and volunteered as a clinic lead and public education assistant at Sarvey Wildlife Center in Arlington for several years. She also acquired a great deal of experience while working as an assistant in the WSU-VTH exotics and wildlife service. When Dr. Manthey isn’t at the office she enjoys a wide variety of outdoor recreations. In the winter she spend most of her free time participating in snow activities such as skiing, snow boarding, and snow shoeing. In the summer she switches to road cycling as her main activity, but also enjoy camping and fly fishing. Dr. Mathey also spends quite a bit of free time working with wildlife rehabilitation and providing public education regarding wildlife care, management and environmental conservation. More recently she has been spending time on education presentations regarding exotic pets. |
